You could be like Mark
“You get to learn something new every day”
Mark joined Southdown in 2009 as a Support Worker. He’d been working in hospitality and wanted to do something more worthwhile for the community. He was keen to be part of an organisation where the staff are valued, where you get out what you put in, can access all the training you need and develop a career through experience. Southdown ticked all those boxes. And more. So much so in fact that he’s now a Service Manager in charge of one of our Supported Living Services.
To succeed in care work, like Mark, you don’t need lots of qualifications. You can start as a Support Worker and work your way up. That’s exactly what some of our Senior Managers did. All you need is to be caring, adaptable and committed to helping people with learning and physical disabilities to get the very best out of life. You’ll be part of a diverse and inclusive group of different ages, ethnicities and nationalities too, and you’ll feel really supported and part of a team. In short, you’ll have all you need to build a great career with the largest provider of housing, care and support in Sussex.
So, what are you waiting for? Be like Mark. Make the move to Southdown.
