A fantastic opportunity has arisen at a Supported Living service in Chapletown Leeds. We are looking for positive, trustworthy and caring Support Workers to join our brand new team. The service requires two sleeping staff per night and typical shifts will be 2:30pm to 10pm and sleepins 7am to 2:30pm ideally we do require car drivers for this service.

You will be responsible and involved in the everyday life of the person you are supporting. You will be providing support with day to day activities including: supporting with finances, cooking, cleaning and helping with personal care if required. If you have experience supporting people with challenging behaviors this would be desirable!

Another big part of being a support worker is being part of the fun! You will get to do things such as going to the cinema, bowling, theatre, swimming and all other activities the people you support enjoy.

Successful candidates must be able to commit to the following induction and training dates:

6th, 7th, 10th, 13th, 15th, 16th and 17th January 2020. In between these training dates you will be on a rota to shadow at the service where the people we support are currently based.

Successful candidates will be trained in positive behavior support as the person we support can demonstrate behaviors that can be challenging – training is scheduled as part of the dates above.

As a support worker, flexibility is key for both yourself and for the service, as you may be required to work a variety of different shifts throughout the week/weekends, including mornings, evenings and sleep-ins. You will also be required to work bank holidays.
