This service is a large service in Kingston upon Thames which is comprised of 4 supported living bungalows which supports different client groups; dementia and end of life care, behaviours that challenge, mild/moderate learning disabilities and learning and physical disabilities.
The current structure is that we have an Area Manager and Acting Operations Manager which is based at the office at the service and each bungalow has an Assistant Service Manager and a team of support workers attached to each one.
We need someone who’s strong willed, and someone who has previous experience or fantastic knowledge of managing difficult services and raising CQC standard of a service.
It is a permanent role as there’s lots of support from the senior management and directors to get this area right but we need the right manager to oversee the large service.
It’s also a fantastic opportunity to create something rewarding by improving the service, putting their own stamp on procedures and ways of working and being a part of a developing area for the company as they’re also looking at building another bungalow on the site so again a great project to be involved in!!
Exp. Managing supported living and/or residential services on a large scale OR multi-sites.
Experience of and/or good knowledge of improving services to compliant CQC standard – IMPORTANT
Exp. Working with people with learning disabilities and varying support needs,
Strong knowledge and understanding of relevant legislations and CQC
Hold a full valid driving licence and access to own vehicle.
Be flexible to work over a 7 day rota with occasional weekends and some late evenings
