Mental Health Service Manager, Cambridge
£24K – £31K per annum DOE
Full-time, Monday – Friday 9am-5pm (some flexibility to work outside these hours required)
We are looking for a talented and experienced Mental Health Service Manager living close to the Cambridge area of Cambridgeshire. This is an exciting opportunity to join a special support and recovery service for people living with mental health conditions.
This role is based in Peterborough and is approximately a 55-minute commute from Cambridge.
If you are passionate about transforming the lives of vulnerable people, you have experience of working within a similar setting and you have excellent leadership skills, then we would love to hear from you.
You could be joining an organisation who provide a step-down service from Mental Health hospitals or units, to transition them to living in their own flat within the community. They believe that they can help create a world where everyone has the chance to live independently and live the best possible life they can. They aspire to develop alternative ways to inspire hope and belief that every person can take control of their own lives and that there is a life beyond mental illness.
As their Service Manager, you will be crucial to the day to day running of this 24/7 site. You will oversee the performance of the service and the 16 independent flats they currently operate. You will ensure that the support provided to the people transitioning into the service is of the highest standard and resolve any difficulties that may arise in that initial transition period. They provide cognitive therapy and promote life skills to create positive futures for everyone they support.
What experience & qualifications are required?
* You will hold a Level 5 in Health & Social Care, or equivalent;
* You will have 2-3 years’ experience in a supervisory role, hold excellent leadership skills and be a positive role model to your team;
* You will have experience and knowledge of working with people with Mental Health conditions;
* It is preferred that you are a car driver.
Above all, you will be someone who recognises that every person is unique, and should be treated with dignity and respect, and you will be passionate about the difference you can make in a person’s life.
