SOCIAL WORKER – Family Safeguarding team – Peterborough
Eden Brown Synergy has an amazing new opportunity for experienced social workers to join a Family Safeguarding team in Peterborough. We are seeking motivated and passionate workers who would like to take the next steps in their social care career.
Family Safeguarding is the new practice model in Peterborough that has received such positive national coverage and the recognition of the Department for Education.
The social workers in this area build relationships with both the children and adults and work with them over months or even years. The social workers work with colleagues as part of a multi-disciplinary team that includes adult mental health workers, drug and alcohol recovery workers, and adult domestic violence workers.
To be put forward for consideration for one of our safeguarding teams, you will need to be a qualified and registered Social Worker with at least two year's frontline experience as well as completion of your ASYE. You will have substantial knowledge of childcare legislation and experience of conducting assessments as well as presenting care plans to conferences and reviews.
You will carry out assessments and develop plans to support families. A high level of written and verbal skills will be required, as you will need to prepare and deliver welfare reports to conferences and court hearings.
