Care Assistant – Competitive Salary + Benefits – Maidenhead / Windsor / Slough

The Role

We are seeking caring, compassionate and dedicated individuals to join us as Care Assistants and help support our amazing clients. We have established rounds available in the Maidenhead, Windsor and Slough areas with a variety of shift patterns (evenings, weekends, full days/half days, full-time/part-time). This is an exciting opportunity for an empathetic and motivated carer to take on a fresh challenge and change peoples’ lives for the better.

The key responsibilities of a Care Assistant include, but are not limited to:

Assisting clients with personal care tasks, such as washing, dressing, eating and toileting
Performing light housekeeping tasks, such as dusting, vacuuming and changing bed linens
Assisting in the safe lifting, transferring, repositioning and movement of clients
Accompanying clients to medical appointments when needed
Observing, monitoring and recording clients’ physical and emotional well-being, and promptly report any changes to senior staff
Encouraging clients to participate in social and recreational activities
Any other duties as reasonably required of you

The Person

The key skills and qualities of a Care Assistant:

NVQ level 2 in Health and Social Care preferred but not essential as full training will be given
A friendly approach and the ability to put service users at ease, whatever their physical or social needs, with the ability to be tactful and sensitive at all times
A high level of patience and the ability to deal with shy or anxious service users, able to think quickly and solve problems as they arrive
Good stamina, manual dexterity and a certain level of physical strength
Excellent communication skills with a responsible and flexible attitude to service users
A commitment to the job, the client and their families
